This course provides students with a hands-on on networking fundamentals. It is a doorway into learning about personal computers and networks from the
ground up. It encourages them to feel confident onto a more advanced course of the study while obtaining the skills necessary to perform network setup and installation
and basic troubleshooting. The students will be exposed to a hands-on and interactive learning experience. In the context of learning personal computer and network
fundamentals, students will also learn practical design methods for home, small business, and large enterprise network

This Learning Module: ETHICS FOR IT PROFESSIONALS, prepared and utilized
by the author for second year BSIT
Students this 1st semester, AY 2020-2021 to briefly introduce and discuss
Ethics, values and morals: its theories, dilemmas and other issues facing IT
practitioners. Able to learn, practice and exercise good behavior & right
attitude as they become IT Professionals.
Ethics, is about matters such as the good thing that we should pursue and the bad thing that we should avoid; while morals are those concerned with or relating to human behavior, especially the distinction between good and bad (or right and wrong) behavior, whereas, values are defined as those things that are important to or valued by someone or an organization.
In today’s era, Professional ethics is becoming more significant and relevant in the workplace thus, professionals not only become specialized in their professional occupation but more importantly should exhibit and exercise ethical behavior and attitude as professionals.
Ethical Professionals may refer to being competent, efficient, masterly, qualified and imbued in practice a code of ethics and become ethical public.

This course provides an overview of the Computing Industry and Computing Profession, including Research and Applications in different fields; an Appreciation of Computing in different fields such as Biology, Sociology, Environment and Gaming; an understanding of ACM Requirements; an Appreciation of the History of computing; and Knowledge of the Key Components of Computer Systems (Organization and Architecture), Malware, Computer Security, Internet and Internet Protocols.

This course is intended for graduating BSIT students. Students must participate in various technical and non-technical seminars, trainings, and workshops.
