The topics in this course are so arranged and selected to suit the needs of students enrolled in B.S. Chemistry. The course is divided into three parts: Electricity, Magnetism, and Waves.

The first phase of the course is devoted to the study of electricity. Topics for discussion include electrostatics, current and resistance, simple electric circuits, electric energy and capacitance. The second phase of the course is devoted to the study of magnetism. Topics herein include the basic principles and physical laws governing magnetism. Lastly, sound and wave motion will be discussed and will focus on the following topics: simple harmonic motion, wave motion, standing waves and resonance, characteristics of sound, sources of sound, and the Doppler Effect.
