Microbiology lectures cover the anatomy and physiology and genetics of microorganisms. This course involves the study of the roles of microorganisms in the environment and their applications in industry and in medicine. Discussions on viruses, viroids and prion particles are also included. The laboratory course provides students with practical experience in the study of microorganisms.
