This course deals with the interaction of science from the perspective of history and philosophy of science, its implication to science teaching and education policies in the Philippines context. As prospective science education, this cause specially insight on the history and application of philosophy in teaching service.


This course is intended to help doctoral students nearing completion of their coursework plan to prepare for the dissertation experience. The purpose is to take students from a point at which they have general ideas about their dissertation topic to the development of a solid structure, research strategy and drafting of their concept papers. The learners will prepare concept papers outlining key features of their proposal which will then be presented in class. Students are then expected to revise their concept notes over the course of the semester, submitting a revised strategy by the end of term.
